UCSF Center for Oceans & Human Health

The mission of the UCSF Center for Oceans & Human Health is to advance Sustainable Development Goals pertaining to public health [SDG3] and ocean health [SDG14]. Furtherance of these goals is achieved through research, community partnerships, and public education about the vital role of oceans in human health and human activities for a healthy ocean.

UNITED NATIONS OCEAN CONFERENCE

TEAMWORK TO SAVE OUR OCEAN: BENEFITS FOR HUMAN HEALTH & WELL-BEING 

We will be hosting a Green Zone event at the United Nations Ocean Conference (Nice, France) Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 7:45a-9:45a CEST (local time), 10:45p-12:45a PDT. We aim to highlight and learn from successful efforts to support conservation and sustainable use of the oceans (SDG14) that have had demonstrable positive co-benefits for human health and well-being (SDG3) in addition to helping achieve other SDGs.
